Five luxurious free-standing lodges
These smoke-free lodges are fitted with solar heating, feature indoor and outdoor braai areas, and air-conditioning, and are serviced daily. The Wi-Fi is complimentary and the ample parking is secure. The kitchen is modern and DSTV/ Satellite television is provided. All 5 individually decorated lodges are free-standing. Guests can enjoy the indoor fireplace or relax on the furnished patios while making use of the in-room coffee/tea makers. Bathrooms include complimentary toiletries and hair dryers. Stunning views over the river can be enjoyed from the lounge, bedroom, and front patio.
Lermitage Quagga Game Lodge is completely self-sustaining, with electricity sourced from an on-site solar power plant, gas water heating systems, and groundwater filtration equipment. The use of electrical devices is restricted to that provided by the lodge. Guests are encouraged to help conserve this valuable resource, by using electricity sparingly, and not bringing any devices that will put strain on the system.

Spotting the Magnificent Quagga
One of the most special experiences at Lermitage Quagga Game Lodge is the chance to spot their famous Quaggas. The rebreeding process of the Quagga is an ongoing success story introduced more than 30 years ago. Today there are approximately 160 Rau Quagga of which Lerrmitage Game Lodge owns approximately 50. The quagga is and probably will always remain a unique and scarce animal.
Visitors can see the quaggas, many species of antelope, buffalo, sable antelope, and even golden wildebeest on the in-house game drives. This activity is ideal for families with young children who find the free-roaming animals fascinating and rewarding!
