Hi there, I'm Celeste...
Duties Design is a proudly South African company, founded and run by a contemporary artist based in Cape Town. I discovered my passion for painting at the age of twelve, and since then, I have specialized in portraiture, wildlife, and botanical art. As a full-time freelance artist, I am versatile in a wide range of mediums, including oils, acrylics, watercolor, oil pastels, inks, and pencil crayons.
I enjoy being experimental, often mixing different media to create unique and dynamic works of art. Before becoming a full-time artist, I was a professional fashion designer and teacher. My journey back to art was inspired by a former Grade 6 teacher, who reminded me that I had won an art competition during her class. That competition not only took me to the finals in London but also awarded my school 12 computers as part of the generous prize. This memory reignited my passion for art, leading me to where I am today.
