The Bushbaby and Monkey Sanctuary in Hartbeespoort Dam, South Africa takes in monkeys that people abandoned as pets ensuring a haven for these clever and cute creatures.
The monkeys roam freely while you walk through the enclosure with a bucket full of treats that they can come and get from you. Some jump on you and some grab from you - this was a great experience and so much fun!
There are lemurs, squirrel monkeys and capuchins all running around trying to get their share of a treat of popcorn/cat food /fruit and some seeds that you carry in a bucket while walking in a pathway throughout their enclosure. Some were very shy/ some mischievous/some scared and all just very cute and clever!
This was truly an awesome experience although you would think it could be boring- it's not!

Do you want to get in touch with nature? This is the place to go, gives you and your loved ones the best atmosphere to spend quality time together. The restaurant is indoors and outdoors at the same time, and the food is amazing.
And yes, there are other animals it isn't just the loving, hilarious monkeys

Great activity. Wilson our guide was the BEST.
Take the feeding tour it is worth it.
You can feed the monkeys and interact with them. They are friendly which means they are well looked after and treated well. The whole walk is nice and some of the suspended bridges offer great views. No pram so bring something to carry your baby if needed, I managed to take mine all along in my arms and she even did a nap. Our 3 years daughter LOVED it, Wilson went beyond to make our experience unforgettable. Our 1 year old also loved it.
It's a MUST. And give a good tip to Wilson he is a nice guy and deserves it
